// IN CHARACTER
Name: Edmond François !
Age: twenty-four!
Gender: male!
Species: Garou!
Class: nobility!
Hobbies: Edmond has very little free time for himself and that is usually spent with his beloved fiancée, Adrienne. He adores her and cherishes their conversations above all else in life.
Appearance: As a man, Edmond is rather slender with a very sinewy muscle structure. He’s tall for his time period and has very blonde, curly hair. Oculars are a rich, deep hazel that reflect a golden glint in just the right sunlight. He’s very handsome, but nothing extraordinary by any means. His attire usually consists of his uniform, although he can also be found wearing darker-colored noble’s clothes. Never without his sword, Edmond can appear quite the force to be reckoned with – when he wants to be, that is. As a wolf, the man keeps his familiar build but seems to display a lighter complexion. With bleached-blonde fur, he appears almost white. Around his neck is a small, chain necklace bearing a rude crescent. It was a token from Adrienne shortly after they were introduced and he wears it like a badge of honor – a memory and a respect to the woman he hopes someday soon to call his wife.
Personality: Because of the abrupt ruin of his family’s name and legacy and the upheaval that Edmond faced as a child, he’s become a very stoic individual. Quiet and reserved, he has all the appearances of a serial killer on the prowl – and his guardsman sword certainly doesn’t deter that image from the minds of observers. Yet… the brute has a very tender soul deep down. He reserves all of his affection for his beloved fiancé, Adrienne, and would never lift a hand against her alone. When they’re together, he’s as endearing and adoring as any loyal soon-to-be-husband should be. He’s very protective of his darling and would give his life without hesitation if it meant preventing her harm.
History: Edmond began life in a very privileged setting. With a father that served in his majesty’s court, the young Garou spent the early years of his children running amok in the royal palace. He had three brothers then, who together helped him torment the poor waitstaff and generic servants. Raised to believe he was better than the commoners, Edmond was a very pompous boy who slowly – ever so slowly – developed into a much more mature adult. His change in character, however, was due to some very life-altering tragedies.
Shortly after his betrothal to his father’s closest friend’s daughter – his darling Adrienne – trouble began to boil in the French nation. He watched with terror as Adrienne’s family was accused of witchcraft, her father burned at the stake and their honor denounced. Swearing to avenge his life-long friend, Edmond’s father sought to kill Claudette himself for the madness he had spread upon the once-good nation.
Deciding not risk his young son’s life, Edmond’s father sent him away to a tiny village in the north with orders to never again return. Enraged by his father’s choice, Edmond none-the-less chose to honor his sire’s commands and left the capitol, taking the young Adrienne with him. When word began to spread about the growing number of accused heretics, however, the sixteen year old Garou broke the word he’d given to his father and retraced his steps back to France’s capitol.
He searched madly for any word of his father but learned only that the man had been chased and exiled from the city in shame. Unable to discover anything else – a location or a last sighting – Edmond gave up and went back to his new home an embittered and incensed brute. He enrolled in the Kadencian Guard shortly after his re-arrival and quickly ascended the ranks. Serving under Captain Faustine, Edmond realized his calling and excelled in every sense of the word.
The not-knowing of what happened to his father eats at the hardened twenty-four year old, but he’s somewhat come to terms with his past. His only delight in life is given to him by his wonderful fiancée, Adrienne, and he believes his only purpose is to make her happy. Together, the two hope to continue their life together and eventually get married.
