now I'm aimin' for heaven Alias: Ashelin Contact: villedekadence@yahoo.com
but probably wind up down in hell Name: Trystan Alexander d'Allemagnè Age: twenty-five years Gender: male Species: Garou Class: peasant Hobbies: thinking, dreaming, and remembering
Appearance: by some standards, there was never a man more rugged and dirty in appearance than Trystan. Often found with a five o’clock shadow and windblown, hay streaked hair he’s a man with all of the finesse of a farmer. Bright, blue eyes are vibrant beneath dark bangs with a pale complexion to complete the ensemble. Despite his otherwise unkempt state, however, the brute is rather stunning in his own way. With a charming smile and a burly, protective demeanor he’s always been a magnet for the ladies. Adding to this, dense muscle claims a fair portion of the man’s body – giving him a rather intimidating stature. His voice is as gruff and apathetic as his looks; manly by every right and yet so strangely melodic. As a wolf, Trystan displays the most potent characteristics of his kind. With gleaming, white fangs of slightly unusual length and claws the size of a small mountain lion, he’s a dangerous sort to encounter alone in the wilderness. Darkened fur shadows his muscular body, adding to the apparent size of the mongrel. His fur is in as much disarray as his human hair, but seems so perfectly adapted to the uncivilized world. Strangely unique to Trystan is a leather collar he wears tight in his wolfish form, otherwise unnoticed as a man (hidden beneath his clothes, more often than not). His reasons for wearing the collar are a mystery to all but himself, but it does make him look rather dashing… and somewhat doglike.
Personality: an introvert by every definition of the word, Trystan prefers to spend his time alone. He’s a man that likes to brood and contemplate everything one might possibly imagine – from his past to his future; from the purpose of life to where he and his sister’s next meal will come from. Solitary yet smothering, he’s a protective sort willing to take any measure to make sure those few that earn their place in his heart are safe. Misogynistic and patronizing, he can be a bit of a handful… but his intentions are always well-meaning. Perhaps Trystan’s most defining characteristic, however, lies in his suave talent for conversation. Most often to-the-point and blunt, he has another side that his parents were always proud of: an unfathomable ability to communicate and manipulate. When Trystan sets his mind to it, he has an undeniable power that’s gotten him (and occasionally his sister) out of many tough situations. Despite the results, however, the brute remains a very ethical being. He refused to manipulate those who are so easy simply because he can or because he wants something. Though he wouldn’t go so far as to proclaim himself any kind of religious, Trystan does believe in a sense of karma and balance. He hesitates to hurt any person – even if he feels they deserve it. More often, this brute’s the type to walk away from a fight. Unless that fight concerns his sister, that is. Any word or hand raised against his only surviving family earns a very quick and savage blow from Trystan. He’s not privy to “cheap shots”, but anything goes when his family is mocked or threatened.
History: his had been a simple yet cozy life before the onslaught of this ‘witchcraft madness’. Trystan was born into a loving home with caring – if somewhat reluctant – parents. As the eldest of four children, the brute found himself shouldering most of the family’s burdens. His father was an absent man, tending to the pastures and taking care of business in town while Trystan was trusted with the older man’s household chores. He was nurtured by a mother he adored with one younger brother that doubled as Trystan’s best friend. The two were inseparable and often displayed their affections in the fashion of a fight. Fist to fist, Trystan enjoyed beating his younger brother in every game imaginable and shared a few, tender moments with the younger boy – brother to brother. They were close… closer than any of the rest of Trystan’s family at the time.
Unfortunately, however, Trystan’s world came to a crashing halt when his family was discovered. From his place in the barn, tending to the estate’s horses and preparing for another day of hard labor, Trystan was surprised to hear voices welling in the distance. He recognized his mother’s fevered tone and went rushing back to the house. When the brute got there, he was only in time to witness the pitchforked madness erupt. His younger brother leapt to save their mother as one of the gathered townsfolk lunged at her. Tossed aside like rag doll, Trystan’s best friend and closest family was murdered before his eyes. Enraged, he rushed the crowd, following his family’s suit and battling as fiercely as he knew how. It was his first transformation into a wolf, and with the power of the wilderness on his side, Trystan brought down two armed men by himself.
His mother had by this time transformed as well, and had howled for her mate – Trystan’s father – for help. Following his mother’s lead, the thought of escape never crossed the young man’s mind. He thirsted for blood and felt a searing rage envelope him at the thought of his dead brother. It didn’t take long, however, for the mother to fall. Trystan’s father showed up as the brute was trying to save his youngest sister from the same persecution as the rest of the family had experienced. Their house alight with flames by this point, Trystan’s father held off the attackers while Trystan tried to drag the girl out of harm’s way.
His attempts were for nothing, however, because the men soon realized what was happening and rushed Trystan. He battled with a bloodlust to save his sister but she fell with a single whimper at the hands of her murderers. Injured and bleeding, Trystan tried to make a break for it. He thought his father would be following but found out later that he’d given his life to buy his son time. By some miracle, the young and battered wolf escaped. He found cover in the nearby forest and waited for the men to disappear. His family dead and his house in ruins, Trystan was all but prepared to kill himself. It was only by chance that the young brute stumbled across his remaining sister – Lilianne. Mourning their losses together, Trystan vowed to protect the only sibling he had left with his life. He feels responsible for the deaths of the rest of his family and has pledged himself to guard Lilianne. To raise the young girl and make up for the absence of their parents.
Together, the two found their way to Ville de Kadence. Searching for a safe place, they’d heard about the fabled ‘City of Wolves’ and decided to take up residence, hoping and praying they would never again be discovered.
