Hobbies: Gabe is a quiet man who devotes many of his hours to reading and studying his Bible. His is extremely religious and prays often. Gabe also likes to be in the presence of family and when one hears him sing on a rare occasion, it is a wonderful thing for he has a rich, beautiful voice.
Appearance: Gabriel Kosa was quite the stunner when his was in the prime of his life. And in his middle years, he still has much of the striking handsomeness that he possessed. He is taller than average and strong with hard muscles. A thick, dark blond, nearly red hair covers his head and jaw, with the lightest frosting of silver hairs suggesting his age. His eyes are a sharp, piercing blue and there is a severe look to his wrinkling face. A smile rarely finds it's way to his cracked pink lips due to his grief and severe guilt.
As a wolf, Gabe is large and heavy with a thick gray, white and brown coat. His muzzle is starting to show signs of his age and the luster of his coat is beginning to fade.
Personality: Gabe’s a rather strong individual. Both physically and mentally, he isn’t… terribly expressive. He’s social enough and keeps to himself. One of those ‘don’t start none, there won’t be none’ individuals. He’s a bit of a skeptic and a pessimist, however, and isn’t known for really trusting people. It isn’t a surprise, then, he’s his own worst critic. Despite the fact he may never say it, he loves his family and adores his children… and would protect them with his life. Maybe the fact he wasn’t able to protect them in Shire is why he’s become so distant and ’cold’ lately…?

His mother, Carmen, was a soft-hearted, willowy woman with a gentle hand and kind voice. Dimitri, his father, on the other hand, was a sharp, bellowing, mean drunk who was hypercritical and found fault in everyone but himself. Gabriel often found himself the target of Dimitri’s rage. From the day he turned five until he ran away, he was the subject of Dimitri’s drunken rampages. None of the girls were ever beaten by Dimitri, but he sold them by the hour as sex slaves, to get money for drugs and booze. Carmen had no power in her household. She was sometimes beaten by Dimitri until Gabe could distract him and divert the rage onto himself. To Gabe’s utter disgust, he turned out to look much like his father as he grew older. He was strikingly handsome, of course, with thick, dark blonde, nearly red hair and a tall, strong frame.
Despite being abused, Gabe inherited his mother’s soft heart and gentle touch but he learned quickly when and how to be mean. By the age of ten, Gabriel could fight with the best of them and he soon decided that was all he needed. He wrote a note of goodbye to his sisters and his mother and stole his father’s alcohol money before disappearing into the night. Days passed and he grew hungry and exhausted. Gabe staggered into a police station and they shipped him off to an orphanage where he was swiftly placed into a foster home. The couple that kept him was, by no coincidence, relatives. Jeremiah Kosa was Dimitri’s brother and his wife Susan was keen enough to see the resemblance. They believed Gabe and kept him safe by fostering him and sending him to school. That was where he first met Meiza. Meiza was a stunningly beautiful girl a few years younger than him and he often took to ignoring her, as puppy-love boys generally do. It wasn’t until they were much older that he took a more serious interest.
Girls in school constantly fawned over the handsome, mysterious and somewhat dangerous Gabriel Kosa. The sheer fact that his middle name was “Valentino” was enough to make girls swoon. It was more often than not that he found love letters in his desk, signed with the girl’s first name and his last name (eg: Jenny Marie Kosa or Lily Kathy Kosa) When Gabe was 19, making Meiza 17, he bedded her and she became pregnant. She had no interest in marriage, even though Gabe secretly wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. She was beautiful, witty and smart, though everyone was shocked at her decision not to force marriage. Gabe cared for the boy from a distance, occasionally visiting and always thinking of his Meiza. Although he bedded other girls, he felt no love for them and they were simply thrilled that the stunning and swoon-inducing Gabriel Kosa was making love to them. In every girl, he saw Meiza’s face and he disgusted himself. He got several girls pregnant before he stopped bedding them.

Months later (nearing the ending of the year) Meiza lost a hand of poker that sealed her fate most entirely. She had betted a fair price and lost most terribly… and the value of her defeat was most… unsettling, yet settling. Gabriel was most smug and most confident when he purposed to Meiza once again. She had betted her agreement and lost, and accepted his proposal instead of going against her word like the good, orthodox gal she ‘was’. They married then… and with little surprise another child (who took the name Rosa) magically appeared. Meiza eventually came around about being married; in fact she seemed to enjoy it once she was. The two had many children, beginning with Torin, of course, then Cian, Rosa, Jack, Luther, Aaron and Emily.
Life was wonderful for the clan until witchery began to be spoke of. Things only changed when talk of witchcraft and inquisition surfaced. Living in Shire things had always been decent. The Kosa were a respectable type, decent and well-mannered. Yet, all seemed to be forgotten as the rumors came. Sweeping away neighbors and old friends it was during the feverish pitch that the Garou pack that had lived in Shire ever since its creation was uprooted. The Kosa clan was among the groups that were called out. Yet, luckily a friend happened to pass the word on quick enough for it to be heard and applied to the situation. Gabriel and Meiza evacuated their children, waking them in the middle of the night and sending them with the Richard clan - their fellow pack mates - so they might escape the village… something Gabriel and Meiza, themselves, did not do. While their children and a number of others of the pack escaped Gabriel and Meiza stayed behind with a handful of fellow adults. Keeping the interest away from the escapees and on themselves as villagers came with torches and hateful shouts, they stood their ground and made a willing sacrifice. After being ‘captured‘ by the witch hunters little more could be said. Meiza was separated from her spouse and from there no matter the pleas she had, they fell on deaf ears and did not save her any from what she and other witches experienced. Gabriel was horrified and astounded. His guilt ate him alive as he could only imagine what his wife was going through. For the first time, Gabe truly hated himself for marrying Meiza and putting her through this.
Finally, Meiza and Gabriel reunited. Knowing the countryside better then the youth, they quickly tracked their young down and rejoined them and the refugees that they had been following. From there the Kosa clan watched as the original pack they were a part of dwindled. Breaking up as they came across ‘villages of wolves’ who took in who they could.
When the last of the pack arrived at Kadence it was decided here was where the Kosa would stay, if only temporarily. Distant relatives of both Meiza and Gabriel stayed in the village and agreed to house them. All the while Meiza has her doubts. … She has a feeling that Kadence is simply a momentary area of peace, and its only a matter of time before the trouble they had fled from reaches this last refuge.
